Weekend Gardening: Hibernation

Print Friendly

I walk around the garden with snow crunching under my feet and my breath hanging in the air. Brown leaves hang on the rose bushes with a few shriveled flowers dangling from the stems.

Lemongrass leaves, which last summer stood as tall as my eyes, now lay fallen and crushed, the lemon fragrance long gone but still lingering in my memory. And as I watch the snow melt, my mind drifts to Thai curry with fresh lemongrass, but that will have to wait a few more months.

I love reading your comments, thanks for joining the conversation and sharing your thoughts. No advertising, please, or I'll mark it as spam. I try to respond to questions within 1 to 2 business days, but life as a working mom is busy, and sometimes questions require a little research. I try to get to them as quickly as possible. :-)
