Pork Katsu

The food blogging community is very prolific and it’s pretty easy to find a recipe for just about anything if you dig around for a little while. This is a list of recipes from other blogs that we recently tried and are now family favorites.

  • Spanish Rice (Simply Recipes) – We’ve played around with this recipe a bit, adding cumin or chopped chiles.
  • Pork Katsu (Nook & Pantry) – Like Amy, I don’t like to deep fry stuff, and her pan-fried version of tonkatsu is nice and crispy and quite tasty. Her katsu sauce recipe is also a winner.
  • Italian No-Knead Bread (Farmgirl Fare/A Year in Bread) – I know, not everyone likes no-knead bread, but it’s hard to disagree with Susan’s version made with her Italian sausage seasonings. I made it with our Sun-Dried Tomato Pesto and then we ate it warm smeared with roasted garlic. We’re still playing around with this recipe, trying different savory variations, so I’ll have a post on it soon.
