Mardi Gras Celebrations

Print Friendly

Tuesday is Mardi Gras, or Fat Tuesday, and we have a few suggestions to help you make a Cajun or Creole style celebration.

Emeril’s Jambalaya with Chicken, Shrimp, Andouille, and Ham, no tomatoes.

Rachel Ray’s jambalaya with tomatoes.

Emeril’s Chicken and Smoked Sausage Gumbo.

For a traditional Mardi Gras dessert, try a cream cheese and fruit King Cake, or fill it with pecans. Add the traditional gold, purple, and green colors and you have a beautiful festive cake.

If you are looking for something a little easier, try this Mardi Gras Cream Cheese Pound Cake with Bourbon and Pecans. The bourbon just adds a touch of flavor, and you can decorate it like a king cake for a festive presentation.
