thanks for these recommendations – I have been gardening for several many years, but I never really progress past tomatoes and herbs. This year, I would like to convert more of my garden to edibles, as I am interested in growing more at home. My daughter and I are really enjoying putting together our list of what we eat and what we might like to plant. And pretty soon, we need to get it all into the ground!

The links were also good – I never considered blueberries in California, but it turns out they might be quite good. :-)

I would love to be able to grown blueberries. But they require a very high acid soil and being in the midwest our high ph sweet soil it is near impossible. But any kind of raspberry is a no fuss alternative except of course for the mosquito that just loves living amongst the canes.

I so want to have my own vegetable garden, but I am afraid to invest the money and fail. Your tips are really helpful – thank you!

Thanks for the tips Andrea :) We’re thinking about growing stuff inside because we dont ahve a yard per-se. So We’re thinking about growing herbs indoors.
