These cookies are one of my favorite, when the figs are fresh off the tree it makes the cookies even better!! I am so looking forward to making these again this year when the figs are ripe.

The shape of these is quite beautiful. I love shortbread, so know they’re quite tasty, too. I’m trying to get my tastebuds around the figs in them, though. The only cookies I’ve had figs in are Fig Newtons!
