We put four rhubarb plants in the ground, but only two survived the garden floods we had in May. This one seems very healthy and has three good stalks.
This one has one stalk with another one peeking out of the ground underneath. We’re looking forward to cooking with rhubarb next spring!
This honeysuckle is growing behind our fence in an area that we call “the neutral zone.” It’s a common area that remains untouched and wild, and the honeysuckle is going, er, wild back there! When the breeze blows just right, the backyard fills with the sweet smell of honeysuckle blossoms.

Thanks for sharing those pictures of your rhubarb. Sorry you lost a few plants due to mother nature. Hopefully by next spring you’ll be cooking delicious rhubarb pies.

I too planted rhubarb for the first time this year and it looks a lot like yours right now.
I can not wait until next spring to harvest but I don’t want to rush my life away so I better not think on that.

Tom & Sue, thanks for visiting! I’m just happy those two rhubarb plants survived. Due to the flooding we lost all the newly-planted raspberry bushes, three of the blueberry bushes, and one of the three remaining blueberry bushes isn’t looking so good. Oh well, there’s always next year!
You’re so lucky to have your rhubarb plant. We have a vicious white jaws that eats all out rhubarb!
