    Your cake looks absolutely perfect!

  3. A very nice photograph of the slice of cake!
I like the placement of the fork, the gray background, and the white plate. Artful, and I bet it tasted terrific too…

  4. T.W. Barritt says:

Andrea – this looks sinfully fantastic!

  5. Sorina says:

You have such a lovely blog. Great recipe it really does look so delicious.

  6. My first taste of red velvet cake was at a wedding in North Carolina. It was very Steel Magnolias. I loved it and know I’d love yours too. It’s such eye candy!

  7. JEP says:

This recipe sounds sooo good & especially the frosting part with the sour cream added with the cream cheese—heaven!

  8. Suzana says:

Andrea, what an awesome cake! I’ve never tasted anything similar – I’ll have to try this as soon as possible. Absolutely loved the colour and the lovely frosting.

Patricia, Michele, Lori Lynn, thank you very much!

T.W., it really was sinful. My three-year-old kept opening the frig and asking for a slice, and the last thing he needs is a sugar high! :-0

    Sorina, thank you!

Susan, I thought about making an armadillo cake just for grins, but time just didn’t permit. :-)

JEP, the sour cream really did add a nice touch of flavor.

Suzana, thanks! I like the color combination, too.

I just made this, and it’s delicious. Great, great recipe. The icing is great, the cake is heavenly. I will be making this over and over again.

    Thanks!
