We’re getting rain! When the sprinkles started yesterday morning I tried not to get my hopes up because we’ve been teased by sprinkles for months now. But the downpour started yesterday afternoon and we’ve had a pretty steady rain ever since. Our area is in dire need of a good long soaking!
I can’t even begin to tell you what the last four weeks have been like, although insanely busy fits pretty well. We’ve had multiple doctor visits for the kids (and me), Michael traveling, plus lots of the general family and house management stuff that somehow seems to pile up and eventually starts to stress me out. I think I need a little baking therapy. 
Which brings me to the announcements:
- The deadline for Grow Your Own #3 is coming up next week, October 30. I’ve received some yummy entries and can’t wait to see what else is coming! Oh, and my post is coming soon, too!
- The Daring Bakers are at it again with another daring and yummy challenge for October. Look for my post on October 29.
- I have a new gadget on the way that I’m going to test and review. I’m not revealing what it is yet, but as a gardener let me just say that I have high hopes for this one!
