    Yum…who doesn’t love cinnamon bread!

  2. wow, and you’re not feeling well. I love bread, but missed this event. I made a roasted garlic and sundried tomato loaf the night before and then got caught up doing something and left it in the oven way too long. EEuugh! Garlic brick!

Despite all the problems you encountered, I think your bread looks soo good… at least the first loaf! :-) I love cinnamon bread.

  4. Andrea says:

Peabody: Yeah, the first loaf is gone and the second loaf won’t last another day, probably!

Inge: I almost skipped it, but decided I had missed last year and didn’t want to miss this year. And I can’t tell you how many “bricks” I’ve baked over the years!

Cris: Oh, that hole in the loaf looks so bad, doesn’t it? I just had to laugh about it and move on!

That’s the thing I love about home-made bread. It’s pretty forgiving. Even when it isn’t quite right, it’s still really good.

I would never have thought of putting cooked oatmeal into bread! That’s really interesting about the temperature of the oatmeal. I would have thought that 130F was too high and that it would kill the yeast.
